The latest generation of Kia’s minivan is finally coming to the U.S. and it has a new name and a new logo when it does! No longer known as the Sedona, the new, redesigned 2022 Kia Carnival will offer a 3.5L V-6 engine powertrain pushing 290 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It offers seating for seven or eight passengers and optional recliner-style second-row seats. Trim packages include the LX, EX, and SX levels. It will also be the first new Kia on our shores to wear the company’s new emblem. Kia says the van can tow up to 3500 pounds, matching the Sienna. Kia will release more info in the coming months, as the 2022 Carnival is scheduled to go on sale in the U.S. in the second quarter of 2021.
